Beautification and Trees16 Nov 2010 01:43 pm

Come join PSCA for our annual Fall Tree Planting this Saturday, November 20!

We’ll be meeting at 9AM at Capitolo Playground on 9th St between Wharton and Federal, and planting nearly 40 trees all around our neighborhood. If you have gloves and shovels, definitely bring them, but if not we’ll have some as well. It’s a potluck for breakfast, but coffee and a few other snacks will also be provided.

For lunch, join us afterwards at Devil’s Den at 11th and Ellsworth for 20% off all food and drink for tree volunteers until 5PM. So bring out any and all friends for a beautiful day of beautifying our streets and meeting your neighbors!

Please give us a shout at to let us know if you’ll be joining us on Saturday, so we can figure out just how beautiful we can make these new trees look and plan the routes! We look forward to seeing you all bright and early on Saturday.

Town Watch16 Nov 2010 01:35 pm

During the winter months (December through March) our town watch walks will be on the second Saturday of the month rather than the normally scheduled second Wednesday. Sunset during this unfortunate time of the year is around 4:40pm, leaving us in both the cold and the dark. We’ll be able to take advantage of the warmth and the light on Saturdays, as well as be flexible to schedules.

If you have any suggestions for the Patrol on any matters, please share. Given that we have moved to a weekend schedule, we are open to input on the timing of the patrol as well as Saturday vs. Sunday. Also, if you have any suggestions on a specific route, please feel free to share. Included below are Google Maps that show our past two routes.
