Tomorrow (April 12, 2011) at the South Philadelphia Older Adult Center (E. Passyunk Avenue and Dickinson Street) the Zoning Committee of the Passyunk Square Civic Association is scheduled to hear the following four cases:

1. 600-636 Washington Ave.: Seeking the required certificate for a takeout restaurant with seating within the existing shopping center.

2. 909 Federal: Applicant is seeking permission to use home as a home office, which is not permitted in this zoning district (R-10A).

3. 1410 S. 12th St.: Seeking the legalization of a 4-family dwelling within in an existing structure. Current zoning designation (R-10A) does not allow such use.

4. 1434 S. 12 St: Seeking the legalization of a 2-family dwelling within an existing 2-story structure. Current zoning designation (R-10A) does not allow such use.

The Zoning Committee of the Passyunk Square Civic Association meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm at S.P.O.A.C. Members of the community are invited and encouraged to attend to find out what development is taking place in their neighborhood.
