According to a representative of the ZBA reached by phone this morning, the Zoning Board of Adjustment has granted a variance for 4 apartments and height allowances for a pilot house and roof deck at 1332 S. 9th Street. However, they did not grant permission for an auto repair shop on the ground floor of the property. This is in line with the decision of the PSCA Zoning Committee which heard this case in at its June meeting.

The website PlanPhilly is reporting that the City Planning Commission has given its approval to a bill by Councilman DiCicco to transfer ownership of the property at 921-27 Ellsworth from the city to the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development, who will then transfer it to St. Maron’s Community Development Corporation. The Zoning Committee voted in non-opposition to the plan to build a senior citizen apartment complex on this site (921-931 Ellsworth) when it heard the case at its February Meeting. A copy of the committee’s letter of non-opposition can be found here (.pdf).
