The wait is over! After a short summer break, Passyunk Square Civic Association general membership meetings are back at the same time, same place. Join us on September 6th (and every first Tuesday) at 6:30 pm at the South Philadelphia Older Adult Center at Passyunk Ave and Dickinson St.

General membership meetings are a fun and fast way to meet your neighbors, learn about projects and events, and raise issues affecting your community.

This month, we’ll have guest speaker Tanya Morris from EnergyWorks, a city-administered project funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. EnergyWorks helps makes money-saving energy efficiency projects simple, affordable, and reliable by bringing together all available incentives, tax breaks and low-interest financing with certified building analysts and qualified contractors for energy home improvements. The EnergyWorks Select Partnership Program would allow PSCA and our members to receive special energy efficiency benefits. Come learn more about the program and how it could help you save energy and money.

We just got word that we are also welcoming Mike Devlin, Director of the Camden Children’s Garden, who will be in attendance to help us explain the partnership between PSCA and his group in maintaining the new garden at E. Passyunk and Wharton (known, so far, as the “Rachel Ray” garden). He also wants to assure everyone that it will indeed be a garden space for the community, and by the community!

In addition, we’ll have a new structure to help you learn more about our various committees and how you can get involved. See you then!
