Tuesday, August 14 at 7PM at the South Philadelphia Older Adult Center (NW Corner of East Passyunk Avenue and Dickinson Street), the Zoning Committee of the Passyunk Square Civic Association is scheduled to hear the following cases:
740 Medina St. – Applying for the legalization of a 2 family dwelling in R10-A. Refused for use as a 2 family dwelling.
1151 S 13th St. – Applying for an office for IT services in the same space with an existing single family dwelling (work from home, no customers, no employees). Multiple main uses on the same lot is not allowable in R10-A.
1309 S 9th St. – Applying for a take-out restaurant (less than 50 seats) with outdoor seating and 2 flat wall signs in C-1. Refused for take-out and 2 wall signs.
1214-16 S. Juniper St. (currently approved for 5 units between the 2 buildings) – Application is for the relocation of lot lines to create 1 lot from 2; requesting a 2nd and 3rd floor bay addition and breech in the party wall as part of a 6-family dwelling (one additional unit than currently exists).
The PSCA Zoning Committee meetings are opportunities for neighbors to hear the details of zoning applications within our civic association boundaries. The Zoning Committee does not make final decisions on the applications, but it does send letters to the Philadelphia Zoning Board Administration.
