The PSCA Zoning Committee reviewed the following cases at its November meeting. Results are below.
1412-14 South 7th Street – Opposition based on number of units as well as safety and quality of life issues.
1216 Reed Street – Non-opposition with proviso that ceiling of 4th floor addition should be 8′ max and roof should be flat instead of gabled.
Wharton Street Lofts @ 12th and Wharton Street – Non-opposition. Developer presented 2 options for roof deck locations with a preference for roof deck along Wharton St. to take advantage of Center City views. Neighbors did not object based on the existing 5′ parapet wall and deck being set back 8′ from the street. They didn’t feel noise would be a big concern.
614 Annin Street – Non opposition.
1420 South 9th Street – Opposition based on lack of hardship, community’s desire to maintain structure as single family dwelling, and current owners’ history of property maintenance.
