The PSCA Zoning Committee reviewed the following cases at its April meeting. Results are below. 

1114 Annin Street: 

Application for a use variance for multi-family (two-family) dwelling, which is not permitted in this zoning district. 8 votes in opposition.  Much community opposition and letter from Councilman Squilla in opposition.

1143-45 Tasker Street: 

Application the new construction of two attached three story single family dwellings with a cellar and roof deck. This case was tabled because the applicant did not have any drawings or plans.  Case will be presented at a future zoning meeting.

738-44 Wharton Street:

Application for a lot line relocation to create 3 lots out of four deeded parcels for use as 3 single family dwellings 3 stories high with roof decks.  8 votes of non-opposition.

1500 s. 9th Street

Application for the erection of a roof deck above the 1 story portion of an existing 2 story attached structure for the legalization of 1 accessory off street interior parking space (garage) for use as two family dwelling.  This is the second appearance before the zoning committee. 8 votes of non-opposition with standard construction  provisios.

1403-1409 South Darien Street

This case was a last minute addition and was the second appearance before the zoning committee.  Application for the lot adjustment to create 6 lots out of 4 current lots and for the erection of 6 attached structures, each three stories with basement, attached garage and roof decks with pilot houses.  6 votes of non-opposition, 2 votes in opposition with standard construction  provisios and developer agreed to remove the dumpster and trash at the site, and beautify the project with trees.

Standard Construction Provisos: 1. Heavy construction to be conducted Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and no heavy construction on week-ends; 2. Daily removal of all trash from the property; 3. Lighting should be provided at both the front and rear of the property.
