On the agenda for the September 2 General Membership Meeting will be discussion and voting on a number of amendments to the Passyunk Square Civic Association bylaws, which have been in place since 2012. Most of these changes reflect clarifications on the election, make-up and service of the association’s Board of Directors and came about from our experience with this past spring’s board elections.

Please take the time to review the new bylaws, which are available HERE (pdf). An overview of the changes is HERE (pdf).

The bylaws are a living document and we are always looking for ways to improve them so that the civic association can remain true to its values of transparency and trust, and best serve the community of Passyunk Square. As per the current bylaws we are making proposed changes available to the membership at least 15 days prior to the vote.

The vote on September 2 will be a voice vote of everyone assembled for the meeting. As always, we encourage you to attend so that you can participate in this exercise of civic association governance and learn more about what the civic association is working on and other neighborhood news. If you have any questions prior to the meeting, or if you would like a more detailed analysis of all of the changes to the bylaws, please email contact@passyunk.org.
