Pruning Club
Join us for the next meet up with the PSCA pruning club! Sunday August 17 at 10 am, meet at Passyunk Gardens.  We’ll be working with certified arborist Joe Schiavo on one of the blocks in our neighborhood. Our last session was a great success and we learned a lot of great tips! (Check out some photos on Facebook here)!  And save the date for our fall sessions: 9/21 and 10/5!

Tree Tenders
We encourage all tree enthusiasts to also consider taking the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s Advanced Tree Tenders program as well. The series will feature eight 2-hour classes, each focused on a specific topic, on one Wednesday evening per month from September through April. Students can attend live sessions in Center City Philadelphia, view real-time webcasts of the classes, or if that timing does not work out, see the archived versions at a later time. Tuition for the entire 8-part series is $50 and includes class materials. Register at www.pennhort.net/treetenders.

Passyunk Gardens is still going strong!  Open hours are Thursday 10-12 and Sundays 4-6. Come by at Wharton & Passyunk and see what’s growing!

For more information on tree events, ongoing work at Passyunk Gardens, or other projects to beautify the neighborhood, email us at beautification@passyunk.org, or visit our web page.
