The holidays are coming to an end – wondering what to do with your Christmas tree? Don’t just toss it out – Treecycle it!

The Passyunk Square Civic Association, Lower Moyamensing Civic Association, Newbold Neighbors Association, and East Passyunk Crossing Civic Association and Town Watch have partnered to host a tree-chipping event to dispose of your live Christmas trees. Drop off your undecorated Christmas tree at Columbus Square Park at the corner of 13th and Reed streets on Saturday, January 10, 2015, between 10 am and 4 pm.

A $5 donation is requested to help pay for the chipping. By chipping the trees ourselves, we will get to keep the mulch for use in our parks!

By request from the community, the event is being held after January 6, “Little Christmas,” so hang on to your tree til then if you can!
