Beautification and Cleanup and Philadelphia and Volunteers03 Mar 2016 03:19 pm

The City of Philadelphia’s 9th Annual Philly Spring Clean Up is scheduled for Saturday, April 9, 2016, between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. The City will help neighbors clean up their blocks by providing a limited number of supplies, such as trash bags and gloves. It will also help by collecting trash and recyclables from your block and in assisting you in planning your clean up.

If you are interested in joining with your neighbors to clean up your block, you must register by either going on line at phillyspringcleanup@phila.gov or downloading an application and mailing it to:
Calrton Williams, Deputy Commissioner, City of Philadelphia – Streets Department, 730 Municipal Services Building, 1401 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19102.

Applications are due no later than April 1, 2016.

If you need help in obtaining an application or supplies, we at Passyunk Square Civic Association can help you. We can also inform the neighborhood through our social media network and perhaps recruit additional volunteers to assist you in cleaning your block. Just contact us at trash@passyunk.org.

Whether you need our help or not, please let us know if your block intends to participate in this year’s Philly Spring Cleanup. As a result of this Cleanup we should have a much cleaner neighborhood and city.
