The Passyunk Square Civic Association strongly condemns and deplores the recent incidents of racist and anti-Semitic graffiti in and around our South Philadelphia neighborhood.  We live in the birthplace of American democracy; the City of Brotherly Love.  The message conveyed by these incidents is completely inconsistent with our American democratic principles and values.  We will not tolerate discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or place of birth, in our neighborhood or in our city.  If any resident or business person sees similar graffiti, please immediately contact the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations at 215-686-4670 and the Police Department.

If you’re a business owner looking to participate in our community, consider becoming a PSCA Sponsor. For more information, email Henry Sullivan, henry@alterraproperty.com. Visit our Sponsor page and be sure to say, “Thank you” to all of our sponsors who help support PSCA’s community programs.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2016 Passyunk Home Tour! The beautiful weather and interesting homes welcomed tour-goers through our neighborhood. We had regulars who hadn’t missed a tour in more than decade to first time participants who were impressed with not only the renovations and decor but the warmth of our neighbors.

The biggest thanks goes to our home owners who opened their unique and spectacular homes as the foundation of the event, to our volunteers who helped everything run smoothly, and to our sponsors who ensured that our event was a financial success that will support PSCA’s programs.

If you’re interested in being involved in next year’s Home Tour, email Andrew Stober at hometour@passyunk.org

Finally, a big thank you to Erika Reinhard, who has been producing this newsletter for many months and whose last newsletter was the October edition. We so appreciate your time and hard work keeping everyone up to date!
