Join us on April 10 at 9:00 am at Gold Star Park (on Wharton between 6th and 7th streets) for the 3rd Annual Philly Spring Cleanup! Let’s give our neighborhood a fresh start by sprucing it up!

PSCA will be coordinating folks to sweep litter, with a focus on high-traffic areas like the 9th St business corridor, and plant a garden at Andrew Jackson School.

Please RSVP today by emailing kalabno@gmail.com. We will wrap up by 1:30. A neighborhood after party will be held at Adobe.

PSCA GENERAL MEETING
Tuesday, January 5, 6:30pm
@ S.P.O.A.C. (12th & Dickinson)

Join your neighbors to hear about and discuss:

  • Phila. Water Dept.’s Model Neighborhoods Program
  • Xmas tree recycling on Jan. 9th at Columbus Square
  • Fairmount Park’s educational programs in local schools, summer camps, and future public walks
  • Efforts to clean and green the neighborhood

Don’t throw out that Christmas tree!

PSCA, in partnership with civic associations around the city, will be hosting a Christmas tree wood chipping event on Saturday January 9 from 10 am to 4 PM at Columbus Square (13th and Reed corner).

A $5 donation is suggested to cover costs. Wood chips will be used in local parks and gardens and made available to individuals for home use. Please remove all decorations, lights and plastic wrap.

Trees placed curbside to be collected by the City will go to landfills. So here’s your chance to make 2010 greener!
