Our spring tree planting is set for Saturday, April 23, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, so get your shovels out and get ready to welcome some new green friends to the neighborhood. We’ll meet for breakfast and coffee at Capitolo Recreation Center (900 Federal Street), then head out for a brief training session and on to plant the trees. Seasoned tree planters and newcomers welcome!

In addition to the tree planting, this month we’ll be working on encouraging new neighbors to apply for a tree. Later in the season we’ll be working on a pruning event, a tree care workshop for kids and a neighborhood tree walk! If you’d like to help with any of these projects – let us know!
