Statement Condemning Racist and Anti-Semitic Graffiti Around and Close to our Neighborhood
The Passyunk Square Civic Association strongly condemns and deplores the recent incidents of racist and anti-Semitic graffiti in and around our South Philadelphia neighborhood. We live in the birthplace of American democracy; the City of Brotherly Love. The message conveyed by these incidents is completely inconsistent with our American democratic principles and values. We will not tolerate discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or place of birth, in our neighborhood or in our city. If any resident or business person sees similar graffiti, please immediately contact the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations at 215-686-4670 and the Police Department.
